Quick Setup: Put your news server name in the "Connection Info" preference box, found in the i-menu under "Preferences". This is the only piece of information necessary to connect to your news server and download news. For more documentation about configuration (or Ink Spot in general), see our online documentation for Ink Spot at http://www.martnet.com/~dejavu/Ink. If you do not have access to the web, send us e-mail and request a copy of our documentation. Registration: To register this application, you will need to install the "Register" application provided (unless you plan to register via the web; the web address is below). You may register Ink Spot to either be keyed to the owner name for your Newton, or to the hardware serial number for your Newton (if your Newton supports hardware serial numbers; at the time of this writing, only the MessagePad 2000 and eMate 300 support this feature). If you would like to register by hardware serial number, you must supply us with this serial number when you register. The serial number can be found in the "about" box for Ink Spot, and you must put it in the "comment" field of the Register application. If you do not supply a serial number, we will issue a registration code based upon the owner name. Registration is US $25, and can be done through kagi. You can order either via the Newton Register program, or via the web at: http://order.kagi.com/?1JE&S Updates: Updates of Ink Spot are available from http://www.martnet.com/~dejavu. For questions or information, feel free to send us mail, either at dejavu@martnet.com, or dejavu@kagi.com. Revision history: The revision history is now only available via the web. See http://www.martnet.com/~dejavu/Ink for specific release notes.
